Background on Infinity:EV
Infinity:EV, a leading EV fleet consultancy and infrastructure provider in Australia, has played a key role in advancing electric vehicle adoption through strategic partnerships and installations. As a Porsche Destination Partner and supplier, the company implements projects under Porsche's global Destination Charging program, which focuses on installing high-quality EV chargers at premium locations across Australia to enhance convenience for electric vehicle owners. This case study examines a specific project where Infinity:EV was contracted by Peppers Marysville (part of Accor Hotels) to replace outdated chargers with modernised, smart alternatives, delivering reliable charging and revenue opportunities for the resort.
The Project at Peppers Marysville

Peppers Marysville, a contemporary resort nestled in Victoria's Yarra Valley region, sought to upgrade its EV charging facilities to better serve guests. As an early adopter of EV Charging, Peppers original EV infrastructure had reached end-of-life.
The existing two chargers where installed to encourage the uptake of EV's, and had been providing free charging, leading to no revenue generation for the business.
Infinity:EV was engaged to install two new Delta AC Max Smart Chargers, supplied by NHP Electrical Engineering, as part of the Porsche Destination Charging program. These chargers were connected to the Alchemy Charge platform for smart management and billing.
The installation was carried out seamlessly in collaboration with Daytona Electrical, ensuring minimal disruption to the resort's operations. Guests can now access the chargers easily by scanning a QR code, initiating a paid session via their phone that aligns with Peppers and Porsche's commitment to convenient, high-end charging experiences.
Implementation and Technical Details
The installation involved removing the original chargers, and then upgrading the wiring infrastructure including installing isolators for improved safety. The chargers are located approx. 15 meters from the buildings distribution board. The Delta AC Max Smart Chargers offer fast, reliable AC charging capabilities, compatible with a wide range of electric vehicles, including Porsche models. Integration with Alchemy Charge's billing platform allows for secure, phone-based payments and real-time monitoring, transforming the chargers from a cost centre into a revenue stream. The upgrade replaced the old, non-functional units that had inadvertently offered free charging, addressing reliability issues and introducing monetisation.
Average charging sessions last around 90 minutes, providing guests with ample time to enjoy on-site amenities or explore the local area while their vehicle tops-up.

Benefits Realised
The new installation has delivered multiple advantages for Peppers Marysville. Firstly, it provides reliable AC charging, enhancing guest satisfaction and aligning with the growing demand for EV infrastructure at travel destinations. The Alchemy Charge billing system ensures consistent earnings, turning a previously free service (cost centre) into a profitable one without compromising user experience. On average, Peppers Marysville records two charging sessions per day. As a vibrant tourist town, this usage fluctuates with the seasons, school holidays, and during conferences, which the resort hosts regularly. Each session saves approximately 12 kg of CO₂ on average.
For Infinity:EV and Porsche, this project furthers the global program's goals in Australia, promoting sustainable mobility and supporting premium venues like Accor Hotels properties. Overall, it demonstrates how targeted EV upgrades can boost operational efficiency and environmental credentials.
Porsche and Peppers' Collaborative Approach to EV Charging in the Yarra Ranges
Porsche Cars Australia and Peppers Marysville forged a strategic partnership in 2025 through Porsche's Destination Charging program, which launched in Australia in 2019 ahead of the Taycan EV's arrival. This initiative targets premium locations like luxury hotels to provide convenient charging for Porsche owners, leveraging a shared customer base of affluent, adventure-seeking travellers who value performance, sustainability, and high-end experiences. In the Yarra Ranges, a stunning but infrastructure-challenged area with winding roads ideal for sports cars but limited public EV stations, the collaboration addressed a key pain point: enabling longer stays and explorations without range anxiety.
Tied together by Infinity:EV, Porsche supplied the charging hardware, while Peppers provided the venue and integrated the stations into their guest services. Infinity EV handled the installation, ensuring seamless integration with the hotel's power systems. The shared customer base was central: Porsche drivers, often on scenic drives through the ranges, overlap with Peppers' clientele of weekend escapees and corporate retreaters. By installing chargers at the hotel, the partnership created a "recharge hub" that supports day trips to nearby attractions like Lake Mountain or Healesville, solving the region's sparse charging network and encouraging EV adoption among luxury vehicle owners.
However, even though Porsche spearheaded the project to cater to its Taycan and Macan drivers, the chargers remain fully accessible to all EV users, regardless of brand. This open-access policy aligns with Porsche's broader E-Performance strategy, which promotes widespread electrification without exclusivity. Guests in any EV, from Tesla to Volvo, can plug in via and activate via the Alchemy Charge Billing platform. This model demonstrates how targeted collaborations can deliver public benefits, accelerating Australia's transition to sustainable transport while enhancing regional hospitality.
